Phantomics, a medical imaging AI company, announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korean Society of Cardiovascular Imaging at the 2024 KOSCI to have research collaboration on overcoming cardiovascular diseases. This agreement marks the second consecutive year of partnership.

The MOU signing ceremony was attended by Byoung Wook Choi, CEO of Phantomics (Yonsei University College of Medicine), and Sang-Il Choi, President of the Korean Society of Cardiovascular Imaging (Bundang Seoul National University), among others. Under this agreement, Phantomics plans to develop next-generation imaging diagnostic technology for accurate diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases, supported by the advice and cooperation of the Korean Society of Cardiovascular Imaging, and to provide evidence of its clinical usefulness.

President Sang-Il Choi of the Korean Society of Cardiovascular Imaging stated, "Last year, we achieved notable results through research collaboration between academia and industry in the field of cardiovascular imaging utilizing AI. This year, we will continue our joint research through this agreement to contribute to overcoming cardiovascular diseases, which are the leading cause of death worldwide." 

Byoung Wook Choi of Phantomics said, "In the process of developing technology to analyze, diagnose, and predict the prognosis of cardiovascular images based on AI, we are continuing our collaboration with the Korean Society of Cardiovascular Imaging this year, following last year. We will advance diagnostic technology that can overcome cardiovascular diseases based on this agreement."

Phantomics is a bio startup that provides fast and accurate diagnostic results using non-invasive technologies such as MRI and CT. Their solution, 'Myomics,' is used to diagnose myocardial diseases through cardiac MRI and is currently in use at top hospitals in South Korea, as well as in Japan, China, Taiwan, and Singapore.

The Korean Society of Cardiovascular Imaging, established in 1995, is recognized globally for its expertise in cardiovascular imaging research.
