Phantomics, a medical imaging AI startup led by CEO Byoung Wook Choi and Pan-Ki Kim, has announced that it has been selected as a final candidate for the 2024 Global Soft Landing Program organized by the Seoul Business Agency and the Seoul Startup Hub in Gongdeok. The selection marks Phantomics’ official entry into the U.S. market in Boston. Following the establishment of a local subsidiary in Boston in June, Phantomics plans to accelerate its entry into the U.S. healthcare market through this recent selection.
The Seoul Business Agency (SBA) recruits and selects companies for its Soft Landing programs to build collaborative networks with key local institutions and support the international market entry of outstanding domestic innovative companies. Finalized companies receive opportunities to participate in local Demo Day operated by global accelerating institutions to ensure successful market entry.
The partner for Phantomics' U.S. entry is the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC). CIC, where Phantomics' U.S. subsidiary is located, is a global company that builds and operates innovation campuses supporting the sustainable and consistent growth of startups. Since 1999, CIC has supported over 10,000 companies, startups, and venture capital firms, including Google, Amazon, and Bayer.
Through CIC, Phantomics will receive tailored consulting to support its U.S. market entry strategy. The company also expects to benefit from business partnership matching, securing meetings and networking opportunities with key local companies.
Pan-Ki Kim, CEO of Phantomics, expressed, “We are thrilled to be selected for the U.S.-Boston expansion program and to be recognized as a leading innovative startup representing Korea. Following the establishment of our local subsidiary, this selection will significantly advance our global market entry.”
